Institute of Financial Studies (ISF) was present again this year, as it has been at all previous editions, at the annual informal meeting organized by the National Union of Brokerage and Consultancy Companies (UNSICAR), one of the most important events that brings together industry specialists. The meetings took place on June 13-14 in Timișoara, with participants including representatives from the Romanian Parliament, the Financial Supervisory Authority, and representatives from the insurance market.

In his speech, Cătălin Câmpeanu, Deputy Director of ISF, emphasized that the insurance market remains attractive for distributors, also pointing out that the certification process at ISF is simpler and cheaper compared to other countries in the European Union, which is another beneficial element for brokers. At the same time, the Deputy Director of ISF noted that, by the middle of this year alone, the Institute had registered over 5,000 unique certifications.

We recall that ISF is one of the most important partners of the brokerage market, being the institution that certifies specialists in the field. From this position, ISF has always met the needs of the market, not only by supporting the initiatives of intermediaries and improving course but also, by facilitating access to certifications, especially through the development of digital infrastructure.

The concept of informal meetings was launched in 2018 with the edition “Unknown Bucharest”, continued in 2019 with “Discover Oradea with UNSICAR”, returned in 2021 after the pandemic break with “Republic of Ploiești, the Wine Road and UNSICAR”, in 2022 participants could also discover the story of the last capital of Moldova under the motto: “Through the Sweet City of Iași” and in 2023 they gathered in the city of Craiova.

Dorel Duță, President of UNSICAR, opened the conference. The following speakers included Iulius Firczak, Deputy, Romanian Parliament, followed by Claudiu STĂNESCU, Sal-Fin, Simona Dobrică, ASF, Camelia Vlădescu, ASF, Cătălin Câmpeanu, ISF, and market representatives.
